API Documentation
What “Public” means: no additional named permission is required. It does not always mean anonymous access; the endpoint or its parent router may still require a signed-in session. This is used for login/session workflows and resources intended to be shared, such as public recap data.
API Keys
API keys let external systems call this API as you, without a browser session. Send them as
Authorization: Bearer <key>. A key can be scoped to a subset of your permissions.

Tournament Recaps
A recap is generated the first time anyone visits /recap/<TournaChess ID> and is then cached
permanently. Regenerate a recap to pull the latest results from TournaChess.
Recapper Settings
AI Article Settings
Articles are written by Google Gemini from each event's full results plus computed highlights. The visitor sees the statistics immediately and the article appears once it's written. Each article also comes with a short congratulatory social media post naming every section champion (aimed at X's 280 characters, but longer when needed to include every winner), shown on the recap page and the Recaps page. The required output format is added to your prompt automatically.
Public Regeneration Share Codes
Provision a link that lets a member of the public regenerate one recap, or every recap. Codes remain visible here until revoked.

Statewide Membership
Loads the statewide player base to locate USCF-certified tournament directors and build each state's TD list. After each state's membership load completes successfully, a Statewide TD Refresh is automatically triggered for that state.

Fetches affiliates, their events and player counts, and event officials for each tracked state in one refresh.
Nationwide Membership
Loads the active player base to identify TDs with Active Safe Play and TD certification. A successful load automatically triggers a Nationwide TD Refresh.

Updates directorship counts and FIDE licenses without requesting rated-event details, player totals, or affiliate profiles.
